The Miami Rolling Loud music festival, originally scheduled for May, will now take place in February 2021. Florida festival organizers say they expect the COVID-19 crisis to slow down by May 8 and 10 for the 2020 edition of the hip-hop festival, but were instead forced to postpone due to security concerns.
“Since our last update, we have been monitoring the spread of COVID-19, hoping it will slow down and allow us to continue producing the festival in May,” said organizers of Rolling Loud in a statement. “At an equivalent time, we were working all day on an emergency plan just in case we had to postpone it. The festival will now take place over the Presidents Day weekend (February 12-14, 2020) at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Rolling Loud intends to keep most of the artists in the 2020 lineup for the February 2021 edition. The best artists previously announced for the May event were Post Malone, Travis Scott, and ASAP Rocky. 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, and Roddy Ricch were also scheduled to perform at the three-day festival.
“To confirm the fans have an equivalent experience they signed up for in May, we worked very hard with all the artists, vendors, city and county officials, and the place to urge there,” said added the organizers. “Same composition. Same anger. Only the dates have changed.”
